15 steps to effective fire strategy
Services
Bull Products specialises in fire safety on construction sites. We have an in-depth understanding of the complex legislation that covers this environment.
We also adhere to the recommendations from bodies such as HSE (with HSG 168), JCOP (Joint Code of Practice on the Protection from Fire of Construction Sites and Buildings Undergoing Renovation) and UKTFA. We developed our Fire 360° service to handle the intricacies of this field and will be on-hand to oversee and advise you throughout to ensure a friction-free experience at every stage of the 15-step process, from initial enquiry through to final installation.
Step One
Contact our highly skilled team with your requirement. Our offices are open from 6am-5pm so we’re ready when you are.
Step Two
A site survey can be arranged within 48 hours of project enquiry, completely free of charge. Our highly- trained engineers will visit your site to undertake the survey to assess what fire protection is required to ensure your construction site complies with relevant fire safety regulations
Step Three
On completion of the site survey, a detailed specification of our recommended fire protection plan will be provided and any questions you have will be answered along the way.
Step Four
An initial fire safety risk assessment (known as an FRA) can also be carried out by a qualified fire risk assessor where a full report of the risk and findings will be provided. We recommend that an FRA is carried out at 3 and 6 month intervals to make sure all risks and hazards are documented correctly during the progression of the project.
Step Five
We gain approval on the quotation and scope of the project. This will be developed until you are happy and ready to proceed
Step Six
On receiving instructions to proceed with your order, our sales team will provide the relevant order acknowledgment. Delivery will be next day unless a specific delivery date is required.
Step Seven
Following the order, the next step is product installation. This can be completed by our certified engineers to ensure it is carried out to manufacturer specification and to all relevant standards.
Step Eight
Configuration, commissioning and certification are then obtained. All of our engineers are fully BAFE and CSCS certified.
Step Nine
Bull Products has a range of basic and advanced fire safety training programmes designed to provide a better understanding of the functionalities of our alarm systems. These can be completed via a demo immediately after installation, or a more comprehensive training session arranged at a date to suit you. Group training courses, such as Fire Marshall and First Aid, are also available.
Step Ten
We recognise that it’s not only products that need to exceed customer expectations, but also service, which is why this step is our dedicated after-care provision. We provide nationwide technical support both over the phone and on-site, meaning Bull Products will provide you with a fire protection service that you can have complete confidence in.
Step Eleven
The automatic servicing schedule will help you ensure your site remains compliant at all times. Fire extinguishers are to be serviced every 12 months, and fire alarms every 6 months; however we will remind you when your equipment is next due for a service.
Step Twelve
Prior to project completion, another site survey can be arranged to provide a quotation and scope of works for final fit fire equipment.
Step Thirteen
Once a project is completed, contact us to arrange collection of all temporary fire safety equipment you require to be removed from site.
Step Fourteen
Your equipment is then stored at our warehouse facility free of charge. All equipment received is cleaned and inspected and those items that have passed are booked into our stock system and stored safely, ready for your next project. Monthly stock reports of your equipment can be provided upon request.
Step Fifteen
At this point the final fit fire safety equipment such as extinguishers and signage can be installed before hand-over or sign-off of the building.
To begin the Fire 360° process again, you can simply contact our team and arrange for your available stock to be delivered to the new site via next-day delivery.
